The Dodgers are set to take on the Angels in what is seeming to be another fantastic freeway series. Here is everything you need to know about this weekend!
Latest on the Dodgers:
The Dodgers are coming off of a 1-1 series split versus the last place Athletics. They struggled mightily in the first game, facing an excellent pitcher in Sonny Gray who had his A game. Brett Anderson pitched well, allowing only two runs, however, it wasn't enough to out duel one of the AL's best pitchers. The second game was an offensive flurry for the Dodgers as the scored 10 runs for the first time since May, and were backed by a clutch 2 run double from Enrique Hernandez, and a Yasiel Puig home run.
Latest on the Angels:
The Angels are currently coming out a rough patch and are looking for a win. After getting swept by their division rivals, and losing there MVP Mike Trout to a hand injury, they come in to Chavez Ravine hungry for a win, and looking to take back 1st place in their division.

Zack Greinke is having quite a historic year. This is his first game since ending the amazing 45 2/3 inning scoreless streak he went on. With a career ERA of 1.37, Greinke looks to pick up the win for the Dodgers. Hector Santiago has a 2.43 ERA and is currently enjoying the best season of his career. He looks to stop the Angels' 3 game slide, and silence the cross town Rivals.
Who to watch for:
Mike Trout is in his second game back from a jammed wrist on Friday. Expect quite a show from him (as always). Trout leads the league in home runs and I can almost ensure he will have one (or more this season).
Yasmani Grandal has struggled since coming out of the game with an injured jaw two days ago. With two days rest this week you can think he may perform at the level he has been all season.
Injury Notes
Angels: CJ Wilson was placed on the DL with elbow inflammation yesterday and will miss his Sunday Start. David Freese is still in recovery from a broken finger, and Jared Weaver is making one other rehab start on Tuesday before making his return.
Dodgers: Justin Turner landed on the 15 Day DL with a skin infection resulting from an ingrown hair. Also, Clayton Kershaw had his start pushed back to Saturday because of some hip soreness, however it is not believed to be serious.
Enjoy the Series!
